The Personimages’ mission is to provide opportunities for artistic creation within reach of people with intellectual disabilities and to express themselves, communicate their differences and their inner-wealth that they can often pass by words or speech. Personimages, since 1976, offers workshops of artistic practices led by professional artists (theater, mime, dance, plastic arts, music, puppets, animation...) in Paris and the suburbs and participates in international events and exhibitions. Thus, Personimages was the first association to put forward this strong and innovative idea that the expressions could be addressed through art by involving the participation of artists, rather than health professionals to conduct art workshops for people that have difficulties of communication.
